Once upon a time there was a girl named Isabelle who was the most beautiful person on the inside and out! She was a loving and caring person towards everyone and everyone loved her. The Queen, who also happened to be a witch got very jealous of Isabelle because she wanted to be the most beautiful. The Queen was pretty on the outside but was very mean! She cast a spell on Isabelle so she would be ugly until someone asked to marry her. Unfortunately for the queen, her plan of being the most loved did not work out the way she wanted. Everyone still hated her and she didn't know why. Even though Isabelle was now cursed with uglyness, everyone loved her almost the same as they did before and before the queen knew it, a lovely man had come and asked Isabelle for her hand. The Queen became very angry and confused. Isabelle came to the Queen's castle to tell her of the news which she knew she had already heard about. Isabelle asked the queen why she cast the spell on her, the queen replied, "I wanted to be the most beautiful women just like you!" with anger in her voice. Isabelle then replied, "You can be beautiful, and you are but it's not all about what you look like, it's also about who you are on the inside." The queen had a look of confusion on her face. Isabelle further explained that if the queen showed everyone her compassion and care towards them, they could find the beauty inside her. "I know it's there, you just need to let your inner beauty out!" Isabelle had now brought out a light in the queen that was not shining before, now everyone in the whole kingdom could not only see the beauty of the Queen on the outside, but they appreciated her on the inside as well. The Queen's perspective on life and beauty was now changed forever by seeing simply the way people looked at Isabelle and how much they appreciated who she was, not just what she looked like.

My flash fiction is based on both outer beauty and inner beauty. "The best and most beautiiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched...but are felt in the heart." Isabelle is an example of this quote by Hellen Keller. Although she is very attractive on the outside, whenever Isabelle is around, everyone just feels the warmth coming out by just the way she talks to you or acts around everyone. She creates a warm vibe around everyone.  The queen on the other hand just wants to be the most beautiful on the outside and that's all she cares about. Isabelle believed in the queen and knew she had that inner beauty in her when noone else believed this. "Everyone has beauty, but not everyone sees it."
