"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it." - Confucius
To me this quotation is saying that everything has beauty but often people are so busy doing their own thing that they don't even notice what is right in front of them. An example of this would be a person who is in such a rush at the bank that they did not notice the beautiful smile on the teller's face. A boyfriend may not notice that his girlfriend was trying to impress him with a different hairstyle today because he was preoccupied with himself. Another example would be an old house for sale. Some people may drive by and automatically decide that it is run down while another person may see the potential that it has. By not paying enough attention, or by being too busy to notice, people often do not see all of the beauty that surrounds them. Confucius was a chinese politician, teacher, editor, and social philosopher who lived from 551-471 BC. Confucius' principals were along the lines of family loyalty, respecting elders and everyone around you and may also take credit for the quote "do not do to others what you would not want done to your self." He is a very insperational figure for everyone to live life respectfully and enjoy it and try to see that beauty that not everyone gets to see...
