"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched ... but are felt in the heart."
-Helen Keller
This quote is about Inner beauty; it's telling us that the most beautiful things are not seen or touched. It's not about what your face looks like, or the colour of your skin. It's not about how expensive that outfit is that you're wearing. The most beautiful things are felt in the heart. The true beauty of things comes to you in the form of feeling in your heart. In the case of Helen Keller, she could not see or hear, but could feel someone's genuine kindness and love, being able to feel the warmth of that person. People can dress up and look beautiful and people can say things and seem genuine but this does not necessarily capture their inner beauty. You know someone has true beauty when you can feel who they are. Sometimes you get that good vibe, just by the way they are doing things, talking, communicating and interacting with people. It is not what they are saying or doing but how their words and actions make the other person feel.

To me this quotation is saying that everything has beauty but often people are so busy doing their own thing that they don't even notice what is right in front of them. An example of this would be a person who is in such a rush at the bank that they did not notice the beautiful smile on the teller's face. A boyfriend may not notice that his girlfriend was trying to impress him with a different hairstyle today because he was preoccupied with himself. Another example would be an old house for sale. Some people may drive by and automatically decide that it is run down while another person may see the potential that it has. By not paying enough attention, or by being too busy to notice, people often do not see all of the beauty that surrounds them.
